It’s that time of year – rehearsals are well underway. Check out the Gallery to see what everyone’s been up to so far, but I can promise it’s all exciting brilliant stuff (including creating sin machines, doing vigorous workouts and playing with shadow fabrics)!
Our process lies somewhere between scripted and devised rehearsals. The past two weeks have circled around exploring character, creating monsters and learning how to use our bodies in dynamic and visually striking ways. Next week, more traditional rehearsals (with our brand new translation and adaptation of Dante’s Inferno) kick off, and we will begin consolidating the structure of the show.
Behind the scenes, Production Managers (Sam and Lucia) and Composer (David) have all been busy thinking about lights and music. We can’t wait to see what they’ll come up with! Check out this awesome light show by Sam for a sneaky preview.
Costume and Design have also been working hard, drawing up preliminary designs and mood boards, buying fabrics and measuring cast members. Exciting stuff!
Make sure you stay tuned for more updates. We’re going to try publishing some interviews with cast and crew, so you guys can really get a feel of how we’re creating this Inferno!
